ZEROSCAPE Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement

January 13, 2007

Canadian "ragga-metal" group ZEROSCAPE has parted ways with bassist McNizzow. "Together we have accoplished plenty — three EPs, two full-lengths and hundreds of shows leading us across the Eastern part of Canada as well as U.K., Germany, France, Belgium, Luxunburg, Austria," the group writes on its web site. "Together we shared music and moments that will live with us forever and wish we McNizzow the best as his musical journey continues.

"Now it's time for us to get some new blood in the band," the group continues. "The search is on and ZEROSCAPE will be holding auditions for the new male or female bassist immediately. The requirements are fairly simple. The most important quality we're looking for is dedication. We live and breathe our music. Everything we have accomplished was done completely on our own through hard work and we will continue pushing untill we get to the top. We need someone that's willing to put in the work. And when the time comes, you must be ready to tell your boss, 'Fuck off, I quit!!!' and hit the road, living out of a van, eating tuna right out of a can. . . Good playing skills obviously are needed as well as strong stage presence. We're a live band, you must have wicked energy on stage! If this is you or if you know of anyone that would like to give it a shot, holla at [email protected]."

ZEROSCAPE's latest album, "...And If This is the End I Will", was produced by Tom Treumuth (VOIVOD, HONEYMOON SUITE) and was released throughout Europe by French record label Bad Reputation Records.

ZEROSCAPE combines metal, hardcore, reggae, and soul and has been dubbed by some "the next BAD BRAINS."
